In this work, the artist aimed to recreate the natural form of a loofah using technical methods. At first glance, the viewer has no doubt about the object’s organic origin — the illusion is that convincing. Yet behind this apparent ease lies a long and meticulous process.
Here, art is not only about creating something new, but also about the ability to replicate with precision. The artist invents a personal technical language through which the illusion of authenticity becomes an undeniable reality.
The experiments with burning out an organic structure during the making of this object had a lasting impact on the artist’s later work — not only with porcelain, but also with ceramics as a whole.
